Hitome-sashi is a kind of sashiko technique.
Hitome means a stitch. In many sashiko patterns, a stitch will be a part of a line, but a stitch of hitome-sashi will be one side of each pattern directly. We will try to make one of the Hitome-sashi patterns and stitch on the cloth. With Hitome-sashi, we will savour a bowl of light matcha or Japanese herbal tea. * for the person who knows sashiko or has experience of sewing, stitching or embroidery * Languages - English, French and Japanese * Capacity -Max. 5 persons * all materials and tools are in our atelier * if you have your favourite tools and (or) materials, please bring them (fabric size: about 12x12cm, 2 cloths) * Lecturer - Saiko MAEDA (profile) |
